Brief Description of Job: St. Paul Catholic School, located in Leesburg, has an opening for a dynamic and passionate, full-time qualified Science teacher for grades 4th-8th beginning in August, 2017.  The ideal candidate will be able to incorporate hands-on activities along with differentiation lessons on Physical Science, Biology, Earth and Space.

  • Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines
  • Provide grade appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive lessons for grades 4th-8th
  • Organize and direct science activities and events
  • Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of St. Paul School and the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management
  • Access and document student progress in all areas
  • Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from an Accredited College or University with a concentration or minor in Science
  • Current Florida Teaching Certificate
  • Teaching experience preferred

Brief Description of Job: St. Paul’s Catholic School, located in Leesburg, has an opening for a dynamic and passionate, full-time Middle School Math teacher certified in Math 6-9 for the 2017–18 school year.  The ideal candidate would be a Catholic who, having received an exceptional education in Math is able to teach very broadly while maintaining a very high level of competence.  Candidate should be able to use various teaching techniques with the ability to integrate technology in the classroom.

Schedule can be flexible.

  • Organize and direct the Christmas and Spring Concerts.
